I don't do a lot of B&W but I really admire those who can do it well - which clearly you can!!

Location
This photo was taken at the Grand Harbor in Valletta, Malta.Time
This was shot early afternoon, around 1pm.Lighting
Lighting in this shot is purely from sunlight as it was early afternoon. Then enhanced in post processing with dodging and burning.Equipment
I used Canon EOS 7D with a Tamron 70-300mm lens.Inspiration
Lighthouses are always a fascinating subject to photograph, that particular moment I had an exact composition in mind and went for the shot.Editing
This final shot has been totally post-processed in Lightroom and Photoshop. Before deciding to turn it to a Black and white image, some blurring was added to clouds and water for effect. In my camera bag
I normally shoot portraiture, so I carry 2 camera bodies: EOS 5D mk IV and EOS 7D, Lenses: 70-200mm, 85mm and 50mm, and a zoom 24-105mm lens. Also in the bag will have 2 Badger Unleashed strobes. In this particular case I was quite light, 7D camera, 70-300mm and 24-105mm lens.Feedback
Think outside the box, look for interesting details, texture and primarily interesting light. Have a concept in mind before going out shooting will also help pick the right subject.
