This photo was taken at my home in Northern Michigan. Sunrises are one of my weaknesses when it comes to photography.Time
I believe it was about 8 AM around the beginning of November. I was headed out the door to go to work and a beautiful picture was right in front of me, just waiting to be captured.Lighting
The lighting was perfect. Mother nature had already done the work. The fog softened the harshness of the trees brilliantly and the sun situated itself perfectly between the tree limbs.Equipment
The most surprising thing about this picture for me is that is what taken with my cell phone. It is a Motorola XT1254. No flash needed thanks to the sun's glow and the grey sky in the background.Inspiration
As I said before, the sun is a weakness of mine, both sunrises and sunsets. At any moment, if I see a gorgeous sun begging to be captured on camera, I always have my camera or phone ready. I am known to take a quiet drive both in the morning and the evening in the hopes of catching breathtaking shot of one of nature's most beautiful phenomena.Editing
There was very minimal post-processing done to this photo. I sharpened the image to make the limbs pop on the trees, and I also darkened up the sky a bit to give the sunlight more of a glow.In my camera bag
As of now, I only have the basics. Since photography is currently only a hobby and I also work full time outside the home, I have not been able to expand my equipment as I would wish to. I always have my cell phone and camera with me, just in case the need arises.Feedback
Just keep your eyes open. Nature is constantly presenting its beauty to us, we only need to be aware of it. Every day has moments waiting for us to capture, we just to have to wait for the opportunity.
