These were found along a hiking trail in the Deep Creek area of the Smoky Mountains.

I found this beutiful scene while hiking part of the Chimney Tops trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

I awoke from my tent to find the riverbank frosted over and a mist rolling across the river as the sun rose.

Taking Brownie for her first hike on a local hiking trail in the Croatan National Forest.

This was a lower portion of the Little Creek Falls on Deeplow Gap Trail in the Smoky Mountains.

One of the more challenging sections of the trail I hiked, but very beautiful.

I ended up catching the forest at peak fall color last year in the Uwharrie NF, and it made for beautiful color and hiking.

I found these friendly horses just before entering the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
