Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was captured at Scarisbrick in Lancashire, on the local canal.

Time

This is an afternoon photo

Lighting

It's an example of autumn lighting and reflection, when the world turns copper, gold and rich brown.

Equipment

I used the Fuji S1 bridge camera that tends to go everywhere with me due to its tough and convenient nature.

Inspiration

I just saw the opportunity and took it - I rarely plan anything and work from pure instinct alone.

Editing

I just punched up the saturation a wee bit but otherwise it's as it was.

In my camera bag

I carry a Fuji S1 and an Olympus TG-4. That is all I need to be fast and travel light without a ton of extras.

Feedback

Yes, do not be afraid of adverse weather conditions for they present brilliant photo opportunities. More importantly, never leave home without at least one camera.
