Location
This photo was taken at the British Wildlife Centre in Lingfield. I have been a member there for a few years. It's quite a small place but excellent for taking pictures of wildlife. It's open space and none of the animals are behind glass and all have ample space within their areasTime
As you enter the first place you come to is a barn transformed into a habitat for Rats, Owls and these House Mice. These mice are very had to spot and only emerge time and again so I would revisit the barn through out my day just to see if they had made an appearance. Luckily on the visit this mouse was in the perfect position. Care must be taken though because they are very sensitive to movement so you have to take it slowly and try not to scare them. Always respect the subject because in my eyes you are entering their world.Lighting
As i was just learning photography at the time of taking this photo my camera was set on auto so the camera took acre of all of the settings.Equipment
This was taken when I was just getting interested in Photography and was taken with my old Canon EOS 1100D which took care of most of the settings for me. I have since upgraded a few times and attended a few courses and experience days to understand my camera.Inspiration
Having walked around the centre time and time again I wanted to capture the amazing scenes I used to see so I could look back and shre them with other people.Editing
As stated when this was taken I was just starting my journey in photography so I was not using any editing software at all. Since then, now the picture quality and camera sensitivity has improved I now use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 to remove camera noise etc..In my camera bag
In my early days I just used to carry my Canon EOS camera and a spare battery, pretty basic really. Having developed I now carry my Canon EOS 760D, two spare batteries, a TAMRON SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 A022, my EF-S18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, i also carry the lens that came with the camera for emergency use, a pocket torch, a few lens wipes, small flannels or bar mats to dry things off if needed and some spare SDHC cards. I carry this around in my Lowepro Flipside 400 AW II Camera Backpack I also keep an monopod and tri pod in the boot of the car just incase it is needed.Feedback
As stated before when taking wildlife / animal photography the main thing you need is patience. You never know what will happen or what the subject will do and when. The other tip is to re visit the subject from time to time. I usually walk around a place first to get the feel of the area and who and what is around and try to look for the best places to take certain shots the start from scratch and concentrate on the places you have singled out. But most of all be patient and you will get some good shots.
