Behind The Lens

Location

Taken in a studio-like setup that was rather simple using cream-coloured blinds on the background as I wanted some texture rather than a white wall. Lighting is Prophoto Acute 1200 Studio Portable Strobes bare with no umbrella as I don't use umbrellas on shots like this. The critical element was how the light would fall, therefore the angle and power are critical so as to respect the model's features. Shot on Nikon with 85mm F1.4 Nikkor lenses. I shoot very fast so my directions are quick which is why it is splitsecondcapture.com The concept: Girl Eating WaterMelon! Photo copyright Amyn Nasser. All Rights Reserved. Equipment

NIKON D2X NIKKOR 85MM F1.4 LEXAR AND SANDISK COMPACT FLASH PROFOTO ACUTE 1200 STUDIO STROBES BARE MANFROTTO GITZO TRIPOD TO LOOK AT BUT NEVER USED. NO GELS OR ANY OTHER GIMMICKS!

Inspiration

I love Blonde Girls eating WaterMelons!

Editing

Simple. Photoshop.

In my camera bag

None! I was using my Equipment! So, it was not in the Bag but in my hands. I use a Color Card sometimes to gauge register the color to a memory card!

Feedback

Buy a lot of WaterMelons and make sure you also pick up French Champagne. You cannot get this shot without the 2 items and having had several coupes of Champagne Melon!!
