This was taken from my 4th floor Balcony. We have a forest of Arbutus trees in the back of our building and the squirrels just love them. This a shot that took quite a bit of patience and a lot of coaxing.Time
This is a mid afternoon shot taken a cloudy September day in Victoria BC. This cute little fella was sneaking his way through the leaves, trying desparately to find out what I was up to while avoiding a myriad of finch in the trees.Lighting
taken in the late afternoon, diffused by clouds natural daylight.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D7100 using a Tamron 70 to 200mm f2.8 lensInspiration
I spend lots of time on my balcony admiring nature and a view of the Olympic Mountains in Washington State. Squirrels, Humming Birds and a massive variety of finch inhabit my back yard. Inspired by the natural beauty of Nature.Editing
Only post processing is crop and resize, otherwise straight from the camera to viewbugIn my camera bag
I always pack my Nikon D7100, Tamron 70 to 200 f2.8, Nikon 90 to 200mm f2.8 & Nikkor 35 to 70 f2.8 lens. Manfrotto Mono with ball head and sometimes my Manfrotto Tripod.Better to have and not use then to need and not have gear.Feedback
Patience is a virtue! If it looks good close up, get closer and then closer again. The most unusual can be seen up close and personal.
