I had been flu-ridden for past week and enjoyed the sight of the ceilings above my bed and sofa and this Saturday was the first day I was able to go outside. It had been a rainy few days and, followed by a colder night which casted nice fog all around. I don't rember when I had enjoyed a photo walk this much the last time! And I thought this particular image deserved a spooky finish.

Location
This photo was taken in Kempele, Finland. It's a location I see at least once a day while walking the dog but this time the fog made it almost magical.Time
Around noon.Lighting
The lighting was nice and even, thanks to overcast sky and and the fog.Equipment
Canon 70D + Tamron 17-50mm @ 50mm and f/7,1. No tripod or external lightingInspiration
I had been flu-ridden for almost two weeks and this was the first time I was able to get up from the bed and grab some fresh air. Also I had quite recently acquired my 70D so I was more than eager to take her out for a spin. I wandered into the nearby forest with our dog, Valo and was delighted to find out that mystical fog was floating around, rendering familiar scenes into something completely different and interesting. I managed to capture a nice series of photos during that walk.Editing
I wanted to have a haunted feeling with this photo so I converted the picture into black and white and added a touch of blue into the shadows. Other than that, I only did some basic adjustments; boosted contrast and clarity. Everything was done in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I'm starting to move away from my old faithful Tamron 17-50 and favor primes instead; 35mm f2 and 85mm f1,8. On location portraits I usually carry also one or two Yongnuo EX 600's. My latest family member, Sigma 105mm f2,8 macro is proving out to be so much fun so I'm guessing I'll have to mod my camera bag compartments to make room for it :) Camera body is 70D although I've started having dreams of a full-frame...Feedback
If you see the mist arising, pack your gear and head out. Even the most familiar locations may turn out to provide you quite extraordinary views :)
