Interesting. I like the colors throughout. Love the smoke coming out of the top. Seems to blend with the clouds. It makes me wonder where it's going and coming from. Nice.

Location
I took this photo in a small community called Tottenham in Ontario Canada. Or is located approximately 45 min. North of Toronto, ontario, Canada.Time
This was taken mid afternoon on a cold fall day. It was cloudy and was snowwing 5 minutes before I took the photo.Lighting
Lighting was not the best but you can never count on the light being perfect.Equipment
The was shot hand held with a Canon 7D Mark II. I was using a Canon 100-400 l series telephoto lens.Inspiration
This steam train has been in my home town since my early teens. I was out on a drive and happens to see the train running so I stopped on a side road and waited for it to come by. The train doesn't turn around so it went by in reverse so I had to hang around until it came back and was going on the right direction.Editing
Using Photoshop I was able to bring out the colours and bring the train to life.In my camera bag
I usually have a Canon 7D Mark II and a Canon 5D Mark III. Like most photographers I have a large assortment of high and mid level lenses. I have a mix between art series sigma lenses and a miriad of specialty Canon lenses. From macro, telephoto and fisheye.Feedback
The best advice I can give for most photos is patience. It is rare for the best photo to be there when you want it. Sometimes you need to percivere and continue trying until you get the shot you want. Not so much in the case of this photo but some could take hours to weeks to months to get. In this case I had to pick the correct angle and the best positioning. Even then this pic was not perfect. There was a flagman blocking traffic that was blocking a good portion of the bottom right hand corner that I had to Photoshop out.
