Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Long Beach Island in New Jersey late July

Time

It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon when the sun was at the angle I wanted it.

Lighting

I want to take the photograph earlier in the day but the sun was directly overhead. By later in the afternoon I had a deep angle on the umbrella. With the sun was more evenly throughout the umbrella

Equipment

I have a Canon 60 D with an 18 to 250 mm zoom lens.

Inspiration

Color, I love when a photograph has deep colors and bright saturations. I like vivid colors in a photograph.

Editing

The only thing that I did too it was just adjust contrast and lighten up the photograph just a bit

In my camera bag

I carry a standard 18 mm to 250 mm Zoom lens.I also have a flash, 50 mm 1.8 lens. Remote trigger.and the 500 mm lens.

Feedback

Don't rush to take the photograph, see if the lighting is exactly the way you want it. As I did in this photograph I waited for the sun to set so that it would have a different angle on the umbrella to capture what I was looking for. Sometimes you have to visit the site you want to take the photo two or three times just to get the right position of the sun.
