Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken from my backyard with telescope with a full aperture solar filter... it was a chance shot when a plane flew across the sun..... as silhouette with con trails .... you can actually see sunspots on the sun

Time

it was taken in the day time...when the sun was out

Lighting

natural lighting outdoors.... I do have a solar filter on the telescope full aperture . The image was desaturated to yield black and white using GIMP.

Equipment

Based on memory I own 3 telescopes capable of solar imaging.... 6" newtonian , 8" Celestron C8, 6" B& L scope all are motor mount driven to track sun and stars ... I can't remember which telescope I used....

Inspiration

Main purpose was to capture sun spots and plane just happen to show up by chance.

Editing

Destaturate the pic to yield black and white pic using GIMP software.

In my camera bag

this was specialized equipment that I normally don't use.... telescope is too big to lug around

Feedback

Chance sometimes play a great role in composition.
