Location
I took this photo on Cape Cod. this is Highland Light in Truro. In the summer a north east wind can blow cool air from the North Atlantic onto the warm shores and cause dense fog to form right at the coast. One day I was wandering about the shore and was caught in such a fog. The picture is of the light house taken from the ocean side just as it was disappearing into the mist.Time
The picture was taken around noon, but you can't tell that because of the fog.Lighting
The fog caused a very diffuse light.Equipment
I used an iPhone, no lens, no tripod, no flash.Inspiration
I had been to the lighthouse many times, but only twice the fog. The first time I had no camera with me. My sister-in-law who was with me at the time, was very spooked by the fog. She started talking about vampires and ghosts. The second time was many years later, and I had the iPhone with me (that had not even been invented the first time around), and so I was inspired to take a spooky picture of the lighthouse.Editing
I did not use any post-processing.In my camera bag
The only camera I have is in the iPhone 6s.Feedback
You have to be lucky to catch the fog as the weather shifts on shore. Some places are more likely to be foggy on the shore than others: particularly Nantucket and Block Island.
