The idea behind this image was poverty. Her face being painted black making it look like dirt emphasizing that her basic needs are not met. In another image in the series she is seen naked also showing she has no access to clothes(part of basic needs). Poverty is a big thing in the whole world and unfortunately I was not allowed to photograph someone really going through this as they were afraid of the outcome.
