I took ik in Antwerpe City by Het Eilandje, one of the nicest areas these days. I had just left this building where we and my mates were giving a going away party to our Toutor Assistant of the Integration Course.Time
It was somewhere around 6 pm. As I said goodbye to the fellows I was with, I walked away and tried to find some inspiration around as the light for taking pictures was still good. I saw in the water the reflections of boats and other buildings, but then may eyes came across with this building and felt grabbed by the whole context. Then the picture. I actually took several of them, as I don't have an tripod, but this one was the ONE :-)Lighting
I don't know how to explain these things. I am not a professional nor a semi. I can only say that the light in this pic seemed for me perfect. The building looks like a holly building with the light sorrounding its shape.Equipment
I used a camare Nikkon 3100 55mmInspiration
As I mentioned before, I was looking for a moment as I said goodbye to the fellows. The light is actually one of the things I consider a lot, especially when is about playing with reflections. This building is for me one of the most beautiful in the city and with the sun on the backside, projecting its light over the periphery of the building, hit my eyes across and gave me the feeling that "this is a beautiful moment", as I thought at that very moment.Editing
Well, I didn't do much. The only thing I did was to turn the pic upside-down, which is wht you see now.In my camera bag
I always bring with me the Nikkon 3100 55mm. It's the only thing I have. I wish I could buy some day a better equipment, but in the meantime, this one has given me very good results. I'm not really complaining. Not to forget, a friend of mine fotographer, who lives here in Antwerp, suggested me to buy this camera one year and a half ago.Feedback
Well, I can only say that beyond considering the facts related to the context: wheather, light, people, nature, etc., the most important is to be patient and as you find that moment admire it, embrace it with your eyes, feell it and if you take a deep breath and feel inside peace take the pic, because it means you are connected. Thanks for the chance!
