Location
I took this photo in Arles, from the amphiteatre. Instead of taking pictures looking inside the amphiteatre, I looked outside and saw this pretty pastel colored scene.Time
It was almost noon and I chose to take this picture in a high key setting so that the contrast was less evident. Also, using Portra film helped keeping contrast in check!Lighting
The only light here is that of the sun -- there was enough of it as it was.Equipment
Here I was using a Nikon F100, loaded with Portra 160 film and the Nikkor 80-200 f2.8 lens.Inspiration
I was set on photographing the wonderful and delicate pastel colors of the Provence; this is one of the best shots that came from that trip.Editing
I scanned this picture trying to keep contrast down because I wanted to emphasize pastel colors. In my camera bag
During this trip I had an F100 always with me, with an 80-200 and my trusted 28-105.Feedback
Provence is full of scenes like this. If you like gentle colors just go!
