Location
I took this photo out of my bedroom window with no tripod. I balanced the camera on my windowsill. This is part of my backyard.Time
I saw Mama deer and her fawn I call Cindy come out on the Mound that is in my backyard. I went to my bedroom and grabbed my camera. It was in the evening around 7:00 PM.Lighting
The only lighting that I used was natural light from the outside. And, I had my camera's ISO set at about 800. My camera was set at 1/60 f 5.6.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3100 Camera. The lens I used was a Nikon DX; an AF-S Nikon 55 - 300mm 14.5-5.6 GED. It was set at 300mm.Inspiration
I love watching the deer that come out of the woods behind me. They are so Majestic! They are a lot of fun to watch. I even give them names:) I saw Mama deer come out on to the mound in my yard with her new fawn that I call Cindy. (I have later learned that Cindy I a male). This was the first that she has trusted me enough to bring her young fawn with the spots still on around. I was so excited! I am surprised to see that any of the photos turned out:) So, when I saw them, I ran to my bedroom. Grabbed my camera. Quickly tried to get the right setting on my camera. And, started shooting & watching them:)Editing
I didn't use very much if at all post- processing. If I remember right, I used little clarity in Lightroom. In my camera bag
My bag is usually in my bedroom, because that is where I get the most action. I have a Nikon D3100 Camera with 4 lenses. One lens is the Nikon DX; an AF-S Nikon 55 - 300mm 14.5-5.6 GED. Another lens is a Nikon DX SWW VR ED IF 00-l.1m/3.61ft o 52. The other lens is the Nikon DX; an AF-S Nikon 18 -55mm1:3.5-5.6G. The third lens is an AF-S NIKKOR 200 -500mm f/5.6E ED VR. I also have Nikon 1Nikkor camera with a 10 -100 lens.Feedback
Try to not be so excited about your subject. Although, I can suggest this, but I find it very hard to do this. Be ready for the unexpected to happen. Trust your best guess of what settings will work; and, go for it!
