Behind The Lens

Location

This was a photo I took in my mom's beautiful garden here in sunny South Carolina. I am a freelance amateur photographer and I particularly enjoy capturing photos of nature.

Time

This was taken in the early evening time, about 6 pm. I sometimes like to go outside in the evening and take pictures of some of the landscape and different flowers. The evening shadows cast a peaceful glow that I love.

Lighting

As I said in response to the previous question, the evening shadows are especially peaceful and I enjoy that time of day for photography once in awhile. :)

Equipment

I took this with my Samsung Galaxy A5 phone's 13 megapixel camera. No flash or tripod was used.

Inspiration

I'm not sure if I had a specific inspiration for this photo but I simply enjoy taking pictures of different flowers. I also like to photograph the same flower regularly because there's a new beauty to it each time in my eyes. :)

Editing

No editing or processing was done on this photo. I slightly regret not editing it but it is still beautiful nonetheless.

In my camera bag

Currently I do not have a photography bag because I do not own a dslr camera yet but I am looking forward to someday purchasing a Canon 70D or one similar and be able to reach to new heights with my hobby!

Feedback

Since I'm an amateur I'm not sure how much advice I can give but I would say to learn from me and definitely make sure there's no metal wires in the background! :) Try to get your lens focused as much on the center of your object as possible, and if you can get the background to be slightly blurred even better! Also some editing to spruce it up a bit is a nice touch as well. I completely forgot to edit this picture but somehow it's still received a lot of positive feedback on my ViewBug page, probably due to it's unique appearance and pretty color. I am honored that my photo was chosen to possibly be featured on your blog, thank you! :)
