This photo was taken along Hwy 49 in the Gold Country of California.Time
I decided to take the long way to work one morning and stopped along the way to photograph a lone oak tree on impulse. Just as I did the fog started to lift. The time was 6:20 am.Lighting
The lighting was a gift as the fog started lifting as soon as I stopped giving the shot a mystic appearance.Equipment

I'm fortunate to work and drive through areas rich in beauty daily. I typically always have my camera with me with eyes open for unusual landscapes to shoot.Editing
I actually did minimal processing to this photo but it was shot in HDR. The only tuning was performed on the iPhone itself.In my camera bag
Being a self proclaimed "Horizon Chaser" and a novice at photography, my bag is pretty light but I'm always sure to have my tripod.Feedback
I know many photographers set up in an area and wait for the shot, I'm much more impulsive. I always stay alert to the weather, lighting and keep a keen out out for interesting views, ready to stop an take advantage of it.
