Back country roads make great places to find inspiration.

I was putting up a new structure in the yard as my horse (Fancy) watched curiously from the trees behind me.

This was actually an accidental photo. I set my camera down and it went off and captured this.

Something had her attention and she stood like this for a long time. No filters were used on this photo.. that's just how it came out.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the local beach in my hometown Indian River, MI.

Time

One of the most peaceful sunsets I've ever experienced. It was perfect and the sky was so vibrant with color.

Lighting

No flash, just pure sunset.

Equipment

This was simply taken with my canon rebel xsi and the 35mm lens. No flash and no fancy equipment needed ?

Inspiration

It was just too beautiful to pass up, and the setting was perfect.

Editing

In this particular case I did have to play with the saturation and the contrast of the photo to show the true colors but nothing else needed to be adjusted.

In my camera bag

The only thing I have In my camera bag is my camera and the 1 single lens I own. Simplicity

Feedback

Some of the best photos I've taken are the simplest scenes. Nothing staged, no backdrops, just use what you see. There is beauty in everything.
