Location
I took this photo in Australia where I lived for 14 years. A secret spot I like to go and a place that I can take my two red dogs where I will not run into any other dogs and people. It is at the beautiful headland of The Town of 1770.Time
The sunsets behind the headland leaving the sea dark first and a shadow on the seaward side of the cliff. This is taken just before the full moon rise about 5:00 pm.Lighting
There was too much shadow so I did have to use my flash which is not always my favourite option but the lighting left me no choice.Equipment
I used a Canon SLR EOS Rebel .. I used my zoom lens as well. I am a habitual zoomer .Inspiration
I love interactions between humans and also animals and this one had interaction between both. Wilzen ( the red one) was doing his vocalizing because he wanted Mikel ( the greyish white one) to move. I caught Mikel harmonizing with him.Editing
I must admit.. I have a long long way to go before I master the art and logistics of photography so I am heavily dependent on editing. Plus I find editing the way I can usually bring out the patterns and light contrasts that I see and that catch my eye. I am a person that is very drawn to pattern so I enhance what I have not yet learned to set with my Canon. This image here is one of the least edited of all my photos . I may have crisped it and also turned up the shadow .In my camera bag
Lens cap and a cookie.Feedback
Be fast with your camera and take lots and lots of photos .. so much so that your computer gets plugged and you have to buy more storage . : )
