Although I may live in Texas, a part of Hawaii is always in my front yard. A rainy afternoon made for a perfect shot of my tropical plumeria blooms

Lighting

I absolutely love to take nature photos. The lighting was so perfect off the pier for a wonderful sunset photo over the water but below the pier, it was even better!

Equipment

This photo was actually shot using my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smart phone. I was impressed at how wonderful it turned out!

Inspiration

The ocean is one of my favorite places, especially to photograph. While my husband and I were on a vacation in Pensacola Beach, FL, I couldn't resist the amazing opportunity I had to photograph some of the clearest skies and waters I had seen in a long time.

Editing

I did not do any type of post-processing or editing to this photo.

In my camera bag

I always have my phone in my pocket but lately my camera of choice has been the new Fuji underwater camera. Talk about some awesome shots!

Feedback

Let Mother Nature provide the lighting for outdoor shots. The sun/clouds make the best color schemes you can find. Try tilting your camera to pick up a broader color spectrum and you will be amazed!
