From the Road to Burning Man series. I was shocked by the massive size of this cross, it's well over 4 stories and huge at the base, set seemingly in the middle of nowhere. For me, something so personal as religious iconography plunked down in massive scale next to a highway is a deliberate attempt to intimidate all who pass. I believe entirely in this nation's belief in freedom of religion, but my heart is weary from the warring ideologies.
