Thank you. Sadly Roseanne is no longer with us but her memories will live forever.

Behind The Lens

Location

I was visiting friends and always wanted to photograph their very photogenic dog, Roseanne. I had to lie flat on the floor to take the photo.

Time

It was late afternoon and Roseanne just had her daily meal. She was basking in the sun looking very lazy.

Lighting

The sunlight was harsh especially on her white parts but I tried to get the focus on her face.

Equipment

No flash was used, handheld. It was about a week after I changed from Auto to Manual. I used my very first camera, a Sony a200 which I still have today.

Inspiration

This dog had many different looks during the day and this one with the tongue sticking out was just awesome.

Editing

I used a free downloaded program called Picasa to crop and edit.

In my camera bag

My Sony camera, memory cards and 3 batteries. I recently bought a Tamron zoom lens.

Feedback

You have to be ready and watch the dog all the time because the look changes every second. Do not be afraid to get down flat on the floor to get that shot - good luck and have fun !
