Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home studio. I was just beginning to take an interest in boudoir photography and wanted to try my hand at a different take on point of view.

Time

I worked with this client from around 11 o'clock in the morning to around 4 in the afternoon. The particular time of day with this photo was somewhere around 1, maybe 2 pm. After many poses, wardrobe changes, lighting changes, etc. it was nice to have an all natural capture.

Lighting

I was just beginning my journey into photography, and my resources were quite limited so the lighting here is au naturale. Just a single window camera right.

Equipment

This was taken with a Nikon D7100 using the kit lens.

Inspiration

My beautiful model was my muse. She is a beautiful woman and so very natural in her posing for the shots. She inspired the photo with her natural beauty.

Editing

I do occasionally do post-processing, if it is necessary. I like to make sure the photos are composed properly and that the lighting is most effective.

In my camera bag

I always have my 50mm 1.4 prime and my macro in my bag. I like to ensure I have my reflector and at least 1 OCF just in case

Feedback

This type of shot is dependent on your point of view-get down and look at it from another angle, and make sure your lighting is good.
