Behind The Lens
Location
The photo is taken at two separate places by the Black Sea in Bulgaria.Time
Actually, it is a collage of two photos. The foreground was taken during a boring sunset without any clouds or anything, and the sky was shot as a test shot for the Milky Way, later that day.Lighting
The shot for the foreground wasn't anything special. Just waited until the people get out of the water and took a couple of boring shots with the sunlit rock. The shot for the Milky Way is nothing special, actually, just testing the exposure.Equipment
For the foreground - Sony QX1+Samyang 12mm, for the sky - Sony NEX 5T with the same lens.Inspiration
I was just on a holiday with my wife, and every sunset and night, we traveled around for some nice landscapes to enjoy.Editing
The processing was a bit complex for me, because usually I use only Lightroom. For this one PS was needed. First I made the corrections in lightroom for each separate shot, and after some time I decided to blend them together. It wasn't planed, so made some more editing, blending, more lighroom, and that was it.In my camera bag
The NEX 5T and Samyang 12mm. Sometimes and Samyang 8mm fisheye. Usually in my pocket :)Feedback
Many people make such images from two or more shots on purpose. Many people actually shoot on purpose. I don't. And I don't usually blend photos. It's just when I go somewhere, I just always carry my camera. When on holiday with friends, or at work, or only me and my wife, my eyes are out there and watch. If I see something worth it - I wait for the right moment and take the shot. It might be a herd of sheep at sunset at the field, while going back home, or with my wife at our wedding shoot in the lavender fields, my camera is always with me, waiting for the right moment and I manage to get a minute to capture it.
