I just returned from a week in New Hampshire and visited the Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch State Park. What a beautiful place. Where was this shot taken?

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture whilst I was hiking in New Hampshire, USA. The waterfall looked interesting with the different slopes of rock and then the separate rocks near to the bottom of the waterfalls.

Time

I can't remember the time of day it was but I would say late afternoon as I had visited other locations before going on the hike. The month was August and the day was beautiful.

Lighting

I used natural light to take the photograph to give a natural look.

Equipment

This shot was taken on the NikonD3200 with the lens set to f/5.6 55mm. The ISO level was 400.

Inspiration

The waterfall looked interesting with the different slopes of rock and then the separate rocks near to the bottom of the waterfalls. I had seen waterfall images before but this was one of my first photographs of a waterfall. Thus the photograph was a challenge and was utilised to increase my photography knowledge.

Editing

The photo is unedited.

In my camera bag

My Nikon D3200 and a kit lens (18-55mm) on my hikes, and I have other lenses for different sitautions but typically I pack light.

Feedback

Be happy to try different angles and look for unique angles and locations.
