Wow! How did you manage to get all the dogs standing still?? Is it a composite? Nice work!

Credit to you and your friend. I have trouble getting one to stay still - but he is a Cocker!

Behind The Lens

Location

On the farm! All six live with my friend. She does dog agility with 5 of them. I thot it would be interesting to try and get all 6 in a "portrait"

Time

Late morning, early afternoon. Had been taking pics of the dogs all morning. So this pose was that more challenging

Lighting

Obviously don't shoot into the bright sunshine. I prefer natural light when possible

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100. No tripod for any shots I took that day. No flash. I was using a Telephoto lens. Just depended on natural lighting and a steady hand

Inspiration

When I saw how well behaved these dogs were I thot I'd love to try and get the portrait. It's a challenge to get Two animals to pose, let alone all six!! lol

Editing

Every photo I take, I "tweek" the vibrence and saturation. Sometimes I use an eraser if there is something I really don't like. Or crop it a little. I try to do as little as possible in the processing

In my camera bag

I'm not a pro. I have my Nikon D3100, my 200 telephoto lens, the lense that came with the camera (that I hardly use), 2 16 bit cards, 2 fully charged batteries, battery charger, remote shutter release, and carry my tripod

Feedback

I once read somewhere that pick 2 or 3 settings on your camera that work well for you. Quite often I use the Aperture setting, or the Sports setting. I will use Manual, only if i know I have the time to set up
