Behind The Lens

Location

Standing on the bridge overlooking the Similkameen river. It is beside a ghost town , NightHawk, which still boasts a few residents from the 1800's era. It is located only a couple miles from the Canadian border, and Oroville, Washington.

Time

6 p.m.

Lighting

It had a natural beauty, that required no editing.

Equipment

Nikkon D3000 using no extra helps.

Inspiration

We lived close to this location and drove by frequently. But on this day, the conditions w r e just right, and had a beautiful reflection.

Editing

The picture didn't need any treaking... with light, cropping, or anything else.

In my camera bag

I have a new Nikon 3300. I have two lenses. One is a 18-55 mm. The other is a 55-200

Feedback

The time of day can make a difference. What are the weather conditions? Do you need to center, zoom in.... Do you need a better angle? (I have laid on the ground to get a good shot before....resulting in people staring...) Is your camera on the right setting? Don't hurry your shot.... take a bunch with different angles. I believe in cropping. Extra stuff in your photo can be distracting and take away from it's beauty.I did not change the lighting , but in some photos, it could make the difference of a hum how picture, and a great picture.
