Wow, looks beautiful and antique. Love how the space is portrayed in this image. Hard to do.

Location
This photo was taken on HWY 60 in North Central North Dakota USA. About 32 miles from the American Canadian border. It is farm country. About 15 feet to the left of the tree is normally a small creek the flows by it. This year it was flooding.Time
The time was around 7 AM Central time. I love morning and evening shots the lighting can be amazing. For me there is an appeal that pulls me to these times it is quite softer time of the day to me.Lighting
The lighting was interesting. It was a very foggy morning I could not see the road more than 50 feet ahead of me. When all of the sudden in front of me for about 100 feet the fog disappeared in a circle, above the opening in the fog was a bright blue sky. I did not need a flash. This picture was taken in April 2012, we had a large amount of snow that winter. That April the temperatures had become unseasonably warm which causes massive flooding. It would get warm during the day well below freezing at night. It had been flooding very badly in the area. The area had been freezing and thawing for days which accounts for the amazing layering in the ice.Equipment
I was using a Canon Rebel 35 mm with a70-300 mm kit lens.Inspiration
I was just driving to work. It was just so surreal. It seemed a gift was handed to me I could not resist the view that was given to me. And I always carry a camera with me.Editing
There is no post processing, it is a straight up shot.In my camera bag
I go lite, carrying a Canon T6I. My Lenses that I carry are the good ole Canon nifty fifty, Canon EF 100mm f/2 USM plus I use the Canon Battery Grip BG-E18, I really do not want to have my battery die on me, it really messes up a shot. The 100 mm is my mainstay. I have other lenses but this is what I normally carryFeedback
My advice is to be prepared and ready for a shot at any time. Never ever leave home without your camera and charged batteries. Pay attention to your surroundings and do not pass up a shot because it may never come your way again.
