Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a small park in Northern Michigan on a foggy morning.

Time

It was around 7am. I was visiting with family when I awoke early and saw the fog i decided that it would be a good idea to go out and shoot some pictures of the surrounding areas.

Lighting

It was early morning and the fog was heavy on the water. When I saw the dock with no end it was so mesmerizing I couldn't resist not trying to capture it.

Equipment

This particular picture was taken on my phone. I find that I will shoot with my phone at times to see if my angle and the lighting is the same as what my eyes are seeing. At the time I had a samsung sm g900 a. Aperture f2.2, ISO 40, shutter 1/1880, focal length 480/100

Inspiration

I was driving around looking for places to shoot and actually stumbled upon this little lake and small neighborhood park.

Editing

The only thing that I did was pull into photo shop and tweak the exposure. No other process was necessary.

In my camera bag

I have a Canon 40D. I carry a couple of lens, 70-300, micro, 24-70.

Feedback

Michigan is a beautiful state. I have enjoyed shooting in most places all over, but you have to be patient with the weather. Early morning fog van give a ethereal quality, and the sunsets are stunning. Good luck.
