Location
This was taken just after Sunset from my back porch in Tonopah, AZ. Looking towards the vapor stacks of Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station at sunsets is a favorite past time and provides for some amazing scenes!Time
This was taken around the transition of Nautical Twilight to Astronomical Twilight before the last lights of the distant sun fade.Lighting
El Naturale!Equipment
I utilized a tripod to stabilize the photographs. I prefer a low ISO to keep the noise at bay.Inspiration
Sunsets are always inspiring to photograph but when there are layers of clouds and in this case vapor stacks from the nations largest power generating station, how can one not be inspired?Editing
Just standard contrast, sharpness, tones and levels to recreate the serene scene! In my camera bag
I typically only carry my camera, a couple lenses and cards and batteries and appropriate card readers and charging utilities. This includes tripod and remote capture with timer. I also carry emergency survival packs that have essentials such as waterproof matches and/or fire starters, pocket knife etc in the unlikely event I get lost or stuck in the wilderness.Feedback
Nothing fancy can be said, point, shoot, process, stitch if necessary, I prefer PTAssembler as my stitcher of choice.
