Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on a backpacking trip in the Sawtooth mountains in Idaho. The hike up to snow slide pass is steep but at the same time you are blessed with amazing views of Twin Lakes.

Time

Our hike started around 8 am after breakfast, my family wanted to go up to the pass before packing up cam and heading back to the trail head.

Lighting

It was a very pretty day and the lingering snow on the mountains reflecting in the water made this a very special hike.

Equipment

I took this with my Sony a6000, with my 18-55mm kit lens.

Inspiration

I find that I take a lot of pictures when I am climbing uphill. It’s a good excuse to catch my breath.

Editing

I use Lightroom to do all my post processing, I don’t think that I did much with this picture

In my camera bag

Since I took this picture I have upgraded my camera to the Sony a7II. I usually have the 24-240mm on my camera. I carry a 50mm prime lens but rarely use it.
