Behind The Lens

Location

This Image was made near bangalore at SHIVANASAMUDRA water fall. Iam a self thought photographer and my favs are water fall. Love the magic when filters are added and shot at slow shutter speeds.

Time

It was in the morning around 8.am scouted the location got down to the water level. The moment I saw the tree i thought of composition and tried to capture it the same as i imagined.

Lighting

Lighting was not harsh luckily it was a bit cloudy day. Difused sunlight allowed me to make this image in a diff light mood.

Equipment

I used 6d with 24-105 lense. Shot at 24mm using tripod raised to around 5 feet hight + used 6 stop square ND filter to cut down the light and make use of slow shutter speed to get the smooth flow of water and moved myself few steps away to allow tree in the composition so that it gives more depth to the image.

Inspiration

Water fall are my favs i always travel to diff water falls n capture them at diff light conditions and diff angles.

Editing

Yes basic post processing i have done. Brightness, hues etc etc. Steictly dont like to change the subjects in post process. I dont do it. I usualy keep it natural.

In my camera bag

6d with 24-105mm lense with diff sqaure filters.

Feedback

Yeah use filters they realy add magic to your images. Most importantly square filter. Easy to use and menuver on fields. Use remote shutter or wifi option if available. Coz even slight shake while clicking image wil be blurred. Try diff filters and try diff shutter speeds. Every frame will be simply magical.
