Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the outskirts of a village in West Bengal, India. The play of light creates the mood in the frame.

Time

It was during sunrise may be around 5.30 am - the golden hour according to a photographers language .

Lighting

The golden rays of the sun during the wee hours of the morning , streaming through the trees , provided a perfect ambience for the frame. It was like The Almighty showering the world with His Blessings. The frame was already there ready to be captured.

Equipment

I was carrying my basic model Nikon D3100 with a 70-200 mm lens since my plan was basically for birding . Hence had to tilt the camera at 70mm to capture the frame as you can see. A kit lens could have given a better shot.

Inspiration

The golden light of the sun streaming through the trees together with the early morning haze made the light effect just exemplary. The camera just needed to be clicked but a wide angle lens could have given a more profound effect.

Editing

Just the basics with color and saturation level.

In my camera bag

A Nikon D810 with a 50mm F1.8 and 24-120 mm lens.

Feedback

Nothing much except that you have to keep your eyes open and stay alert . Feeling the frame is more important than clicking.
