I took this photo whilst walking along the beach in Vermaaklikheid, South Africa.Time
It was a very cold day and the wing had been blowing all morning. Around lunch time i decided to head to the beach where my husband and kids were fishing as the wind was dying down and i wanted to photograph birds. There were not many birds about but i did notice that the sea foam had been whipped up like egg whites ready for dessert. There were loads of shells that had been washed up in the storm lying on the beach and i noticed how the foam folded over the shells as it hit them. After a few hundred shots i got a few that i was very happy with, this being one of them.Lighting
All natural lighting.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 7d MKII with a 100-400mm lens.Inspiration
Nature and all its perfect subjects.Editing
Post processing was a simple crop and a slight increase in the shadows. In my camera bag
In my bag i always have my 7D MKII and the 100-400mm lens, a 100m 2.8 macro lens and a general all round 24-105mm lens.Feedback
Practice and take lots and lots of shots....you will get one right in the end. Watch the waves and save your gear from the salt water.
