Location
this is in the mountains of sanpete county utah usa, I hike among the rocks and bushes that most people dont like to be around due to scratches or regular discomfort.Time
this was taken at the begining of mountain fall August of 2014. i say mountain fall because first frost hits the mountains before the valley which begins to change the colors on the leaves of plants.Lighting
this is noon sun time which highlights the clouds making them stand out a little more than if the lighting was in another spot say evening or dawn.Equipment
this shot is done with a dslr canon 5, 18-55 lens.Inspiration
what inspired me to take the photo was the seemingly invisiable path overgrown with mountain grass. I am lucky to have the clouds look inviting the trees framing the sceanry in the back ground and the the cold ashes from a previous camp fire.Editing
there is no post processing, i am much to lazy to do processing to photos and try to take photos that would not require editing. In my camera bag
laughs quietly and scratches the back of my neck in embarressment. I keep what i think proffessional photographers would be appualed at owning. one i keep a SLR cannon, a DSLR cannon, a little Nikon point and shoot and sometimes those instant film wrapped cameras. I usually have children with me or people that want to participate beyound being my model so i keep cameras that they can use im not to afraid if they drop or mishandle. so also beyound the regular maintance items for my cameras i keep odd toys or things that look like equipment but really have no use other than to entertain.Feedback
if nothing else enjoy the time youre there and be grateful for the oppurtunity. i recently went on a wildlife shoot, did not get a decent shot of animals and birds, because this was for a client and my client decided to be with me, i was becomming more frusterated and angery with myself and client ( client just could not be quiet long enough ). As soon as my attitude change to lets just enjoy the time to be here and gave my client one of my cameras to use I went and showed them what i look for when photoing animals plants and dirt. yes dirt tracks are found in dirt too. My client had so much more fun then and even though every animal ran screaming to the world, my client was pleased with many of the photgraphs taken. My client now has a story to tell for each photo and some of them its a "where is waldo" photo.
