Location
This photo was taken on a December night in Falkirk Scotland. It’s a connection for two canals which is called the Falkirk wheel which is a pioneering engineering project that lifts a canal boat up the stream.Time
It was about 6pm at night when the lights just had come on. The lights were changing colour and I had a few photos taken with different lights on.Lighting
It was really dark so I had to use longer exposure on my camera.Equipment
I had used the tripod, remote control and wide angle lens and of course my canon 7D camera.Inspiration
I loved the changing lights and semi circle shapes that reflected in the water creating a full lit up circle.Editing
I usually take all the photos in raw format so I used light room to tweak the exposure and colourIn my camera bag
I always carry a flash, camera and two lenses wide angle and zoom . And of course the tripod and spare full charged batteries.Feedback
It’s important to have a tripod for stability and the remote so the camera doesn’t shake when you press its shutter button especially when you are playing with the longer exposure.
