This shot was taken in the models house in Araraquara, Brazil. I was starting in the photography, adventuring myself through portraits, candids, streets, nature, all kinds of styles trying to define myself as an professional in the area.Time
It was a super hot summer day in Brazil, specially bin Araraquara where's extremely arid, so we had to hide the sun lights a little with the curtains.Lighting
I wanted to make the model as confortable as possible, to capture the intimate yet natural face of a beautiful young woman, who was discovering herself as well, the lighjt as I told, was a hard, strong and hot sun light, so I tried to hide the subject with the curtain and bring a little mistery mood to the scene.Equipment
Just my Nikon D3200.Inspiration
I am a huge fan of investigations movies, misteries around the windows that we could look anywhere in the streets, there's always someone doing something interesting to my eyes. So I tried to bring an ideia to this shot, some dark ambient, with a young lady looking to something that isn't in the scene, and I'm very happy with the results.Editing
Yes, with Lightroom, I just put the black and white aesthetic with a strong vignete to bring more dark and hideous aspect to the scene. In my camera bag
My Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm, one zoom lens 55-200mm and my cellphone Huawei P30 Pro.Feedback
Make your guest as confortable as possible! I really enjoy to take some lunch or coffee first, to know how the person in scene actually think or feel, my sessions doesn't take more than 2-3hours, but I enjoy to spend the whole day, talking, laughing and knowing more about the subject. This helps the guest to be confortable to pose by themselves, I don't need to tell each movement or pose, because thats not my intention. My intention is to photograph the natural movement of people in front of a camera and just bring a special moment to the team and the client, so, enjoy your work in a first place!
