Location
This photo was taken on the family homestead in southern Alberta that is now a cow pasture.Time
I took this late in the afternoon.Lighting
When taking pictures of wild flowers I find it best to not be in direct sunlight. You can lose the detail and some flowers can look washed out.Equipment
This was taken with a EOS Rebel T3. My lens is a Canon EF 24-105 mm with IS. This was taken hand held using a flash.Inspiration
Crocus are the first sign of spring here in southern Alberta so I am always anxious to take photos of them. After long winters here, any sign of spring is hopefull and promising of a warm summer ahead.Editing
To tell you the truth, I am a self taught photographer. I had only been taking photos for a couple of years and editing with my basic computer so this was enhanced with the “push of a button”.In my camera bag
I usually carry a zoom lens, extra battery, cleaning cloth and cheat sheets.Feedback
I love macro because it lets me get close to the subjects. Don’t bevafraud to get down and dirty. I was probably laying down on my stomach on top of a dried out cow pie.
