This photo of the green tree frog was taken in the garden at my home at Crystal Creek .. Northern NSW .. AustraliaTime
This was taken late at night , it had been raining and everything looked wonderful and fresh with droplets of rain on it. Frogs were a regular feature around the home and I would find them in pot plants , on logs and they were very responsive to me practising my photo skills, sitting there very patiently , for which I was very grateful.Lighting
I was tryingng to pick up the soaking and the freshness of the tree stump from the recent rains. I had low lighting from a nearby verandah . I took many shots and tried out many different settings , as this was taken when I got my first decent cameraEquipment
I was using a Canon 1000D with an 18 -55 lens if I remember correctlyInspiration
I was very new to photography and as I was living in a rainforest area at the time I had many wonderful views , critters , creeks to practice with .. plus green tree fogs are so beautifully photogenicEditing
There was no post processing involved in this photo. In my camera bag
I still only have my Canon 1000D with kit lenses , but looking into widening my scope and obtaining some more equipment now as I have time again with an upcoming move to Tasmania and all the glorious forests to roam around.Feedback
Enjoy what you are doing , relax , be peaceful and the critters seem to pick that up and hang around for the shoot
