Location
This photo was taken at sunset in Kingston ON Canada. This was the first time I went to this location and was pleasantly surprised that everything lined up perfect for me :)Time
This was in the evening during sunsetLighting
I was amazed at the sun lining up in the centre of the statue! It made for a great photo!Equipment
I was using a Canon t2i with a Sigma 10-20mm Wide angle lens which is my favourite lens for landscape photos.Inspiration
It was just calling to me to shoot the statue and when I went to shoot it I noticed the sun peaking through. So I used f/22 to get the starburst affect.Editing
This is a 3 shot HDR photo. Processed in Photomatix and then further adjustments in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I usually have my Canon 7D, my sigma 17-50 2.8, my sigma 70-200 2.8, a 320ex flash and a manfrotto tripod at a minimum. Other equipment I have for various reasons: Canon t4i, Canon 50mm 1.8 'nifty fifty', Canon 24mm 2.8 pancake lens, Sigma 70-300mm macro, Sigma 10-20mm wide angle, Sigma DG500 Super flash, 3 in 1 reflector, a soft box that attaches to flash, coloured gels for flash, wireless triggers for flash, manfrotto monopodFeedback
Just get out there and shoot, shoot, shoot!
