As a nature enthusiast aIso I know how hard it can be to capture this type of image, I like the composition and design.
The lighting is bright and I will say maybe around midday.
I know how hard this light is to work with and I will say you did a nice job, sometimes it helps to stop down 1 stop to help with the hot spots. I do think you used a great choice for your aperture keeping all the focus on the grasshopper area. Overall nice image.
