These images are of Patoka Lake in Southern Indiana. Patoka Lake was an water containment project to control flooding in the region in the 70's. This project was unpopular by the people who resided where the lake actually sits now. Three towns and communities were replaced or bought by the government for the construction of this lake. These images depict the construction of the lake in the 70's placed against what it looks like now. This lake is a huge recreational area for boating, fishing, hiking, camping, and hunting that outsiders rarely take advantage of because of its secluded location.
