Behind The Lens

Location

Photo was taken at Calatagan, Batangas, Philippines

Time

Around 5PM and we're about to settle and prepare our dinner when I spot the beautiful color of Calatagan's sunset. I immediately set my camera to its proper settings and used my intervalometer to capture this scene.

Lighting

All light were natural and the illumination of the sun's lighting compensated well in my frame and give me the result that I need.

Equipment

This was shot using a EOS 550D with a tripod and an ND filter.

Inspiration

This is the first time I shot a landscape photo like this one. I'm trying to learn more about landscape photography and wanted to enjoy nature and beautiful scenery.

Editing

I used Adobe Lightroom in processing this photo. I want to add some crisp to my final image and added some clarity on it.

In my camera bag

I always bring my Tamron 17-50 and my filters so that I can explore different kind of shooting styles when it comes to landscape photography.

Feedback

You need to really find a perfect spot for your frame. Light is your friend so look for a beautiful spot so that ambient light can help you with your well composed shot. A sturdy tripod is a must because you might encounter harsh condition and your camera needs to be solid and steady so that you can avoid blurry shots.
