From the east coast of Michigan to the west, it was my birthday and I was determined to photograph the Perseid meteor shower. I left work at six P.M. and drove as fast as the highway would allow. The night was full of rain, wind, and lightning. It was beautiful, but caused too many issues to photograph the stars clearly. However, the morning gave way to some magnificent views.
