I drove to the Alvord Desert to shoot the night sky but got delayed by a flat tire. When I finally made it the sky was literally pink from the sunsetting and a storm was moving through right then. I knew something beautiful was going to happen so took off running across the desert with my camera and tripod (hoping against hope lighting would not strike the only thing standing upright for miles around, ME!)until I found the dry cracked foreground that I was hoping for and set up my shot. When the lighting started striking in the glow of that pink sky and I knew I caught it, I literally fell to the ground in amazement and joy. I will never forget that moment I spent alone with nature! I hope you enjoy the image I certainly enjoyed taking it.
