This photo was taken while walking through a bush trail in a Western AustraliaTime
This photo was taken mid afternoon when we first got to our camp sight, I remember the first thing i did after setting up tent was to grab my camera bag and a bottle of water and disappear from the group to take some shots..Lighting
This stairway was built in middle of a walking trail and was directed to a nice waterfall, the sun shined elegantly though the trees and up the stairway making a very interesting lighting.Equipment
The photo was taken handheld and with my very first camera, The Nikon D7100 and my Sigma ArtS Lense were a perfect matchInspiration
After 10 hours stuck in a car to get to out destination all i wanted was some alone time for myself to relax and take some photos, i never planned or anticipated i would get a shot this appealing. after i walked down these stares and saw the bright light shine at the bottom inspired me to walk back up and take a couple shots.Editing
I always light to spend a good amount of time behind a computer working on my photos. This shot was taken in December 2014 and i was beginner to photography back then so there was few mistakes i made with regards to the correct color balance and exposure. luckily i knew enough to shoot raw and managed to try and fox most of my mistakes in post.In my camera bag
I never carry a heavy load, At this time i have a Nikon D750 with Sigma 50mm Art Lense along with 2 Flashes and neutral density glass. i also have a manfrotto tripod i light to take with me.Feedback
if you decide to go bush walking remember take some form of tripod as there are good opportunities for long exposure shots. i was stuck with only being able to take fast exposures.
