Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo across Cardigan Bay while on holiday in Llanaber, Wales. I had to make my way along a cliff path through bushes and trees to get the shot.

Time

The sunsets were fantastic so I spent about half an hour getting into place, waited for the perfect moment, then left the rest to mother nature. She is the best subject, she can be a bit moody at times and sometimes very uncooperative but when she is in her finery and in a good mood then beautiful pictures are guaranteed.

Lighting

The lighting is all down to nature, I was just fortunate enough to be there at the right time.

Equipment

I used my Sony Camera: SONY DSC-W380 Aperture: f/5.9 ISO: 80 Shutter Speed: 10/500 Focal Length: 2125/100 Hand held

Inspiration

I had noticed that at sunset the sun went down behind the hills across the bay from where I was staying so the following evening I took a series of shots and this was my favourite as the sun is right in the notch in the hills.

Editing

No, it is just as i took it, you should not try to improve on nature, you'll only fail to do it justice.

In my camera bag

Only my Sony Cyber Shot camera or my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone with camera.

Feedback

Patience, and an appreciation of the wonder that is nature.
