This photo was taken at a local parade. It was a very hot day and at the end of the parade, the firetrucks decided to spray the crowd to cool everyone down. That spray came in my direction. These two gentlemen were obviously known by the people on the truck because the hose came in their direction and totally soaked them! I was lucky enough to get this shot while trying to protect my camera!!!Time
Midday if I remember correctlyLighting
It was a beautiful day, this happened right after a rain shower. The roads were wetEquipment
Hand held Nikon D810 (or could have been my D90, I would have to look it upInspiration
I try to take photos of Firetrucks, Policemen, First Responders, anyone of service like this, to the community. I take these types of photos to honor the people who protect us every day!Editing
Yes, I have created my own style of processing. The only processing was done in Photoshop CCIn my camera bag
a variety of small lenses and a few large ones.Feedback
Be there, have your camera handy. The best shots are the ones I missed because I didn't have my camera with me. Yes, I have my phone, but I do not like photos from my phone. There is always an opportunity to take a great shot!
