Location
The photo was taken along the rocky part of the beach near the Golden Gate bridge. We had to walk up to the furthest part of the beach for this shot.Time
The shot was taken between 3pm and 4pmLighting
The lighting is typical, but magic was created with the help of the 10-stop filter I used at that time.Equipment
I’m a Canon shooter. So I used a 6D fitted with a 24-70mm lens. Tripod is essential as I was also using a 10 stop filter for the shotInspiration
I went to San Francisco for a visit at that time, and I wanted to have an art piece featuring the Golden Gate Bridge. After testing several shots of the bridge from different locations, I found the perfect place to shoot my piece.Editing
Yes.. I’m always partial with monochromes.. I converted the shot to monochrome to highlight the bridge’s ‘soul’In my camera bag
Camera, lenses and filters… never forget the filtersFeedback
Think and shoot then think again and shoot again.. never settle on one location.. do not stop until you’ve realized the image that you have in your head.
